The podcast that helps corporate and creative entrepreneurs tend to their artistic selves and unfinished projects with uncanny tactics and (im)practical advice
I have sat on both sides of having a corporate and creative career. While having a day job, I dreamed of the day when my creative pursuits could pay my bills. But when that day actually came and I got paid to write a screenplay, I didn’t find that much magic in it. Instead, I loved working on my own creative pursuits without the pressure of it paying the bills. I found that integrating creativity within the daily grind — whether that was a day job, caretaking, or entrepreneurship (usually all of the above!) — made every other aspect of my life better and brighter. And a rich creative life could look like just a few hours a few days a week, not one more thing to optimize or perfect. Creative at Work is where I share those tactics that actually felt like fun, broke open my creative process, and helped me finish my “someday” projects. Those someday projects turned into multiple award-winning screenplays, a book of poetry, and travel writing articles for BBC and elsewhere that capture how we move in the world creatively. I can’t wait to keep making alongside you!
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
"Lindsey has such a special entry way and perspective on the creative process! Seeing the creative space from this perspective with the spaces, altars, collection points, was ooh so cool (and really expanded my perspective as a lifetime visual creative)."
